Job Description

The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P), to support one of our

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide advanced life support level care including the assessment of vital signs, advanced first aid, oxygen therapy, intubation, EKG, advanced oxygen airway therapies, administration of drugs via oral (PO), intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), and subcutaneous (SQ) methods.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Must be a licensed Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P).

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a paramedic is required; 15 years is desired.
  • The individual shall have "reach back" medical services (telemedicine) from a contractor-provided licensed physician acting as the medical director for consultation "24/7" for the duration of the contract underway period.
  • Additional desired to license or work history demonstrating expertise with firefighting, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), certification to train CPR, certification to train for first aid, and in the use of Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Experience in helicopter evacuations is not required but is desirable.
  • Experience with being at sea on a vessel is not required but is desirable.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • U.S Secret clearance desired
