Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a Test Technician III for our Lititz, Pennsylvania, facility.  You will be responsible to test, troubleshoot, repair and modify developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment and systems such as computer and test equipment, while applying principles and theories of electronics, electronic circuitry and electronic systems testing.


What will you be responsible for?
  • Testing electronic units, using standard test equipment, and analyzing results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment
  • Performing preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
  • Reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronic units, applying knowledge of electronics theory and components
  • Identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions while working independently or with engineers
  • Identifying advanced complex problems and evaluating options to implement a solution
  • Maintaining system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment
  • Assembling, testing and maintaining test equipment or electronic systems according to engineering instructions
  • Maintaining inventory of test equipment, related documentation, and location of equipment
  • Maintaining working knowledge of test equipment, tools or software by attending workshops or other training.
  • Monitoring gauges, dials, and other indicators to make certain machines, environmental chambers, and electronic equipment is working properly
  • Determining the type of tools and equipment needed to perform a job
  • Ability to troubleshoot failures to component level
  • May act as lead technician for complex, more advanced projects
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet departmental and organizational requirements
 
What do you need to be successful in this role?
  • Knowledgeable in electronics and computer equipment, testing and processing, and troubleshooting circuit components
  • Knowledge of incoming test requirements, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effectiveness of the testing process
  • Knowledge and ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, measuring devices, lab standards and test equipment
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, drawings and wire diagrams
  • Ability to operate various test systems, test equipment, and computer systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Windows
  • Proficiency with test software and platforms
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with attention to details
  • Capable of multi-tasking and handling constant changes in priorities
What qualifications are we looking for?
  • An associate’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or military training.
  • 10+ years of related work experience including testing and troubleshooting complex electronic assemblies.
  • Advanced knowledge in RF, digital and analog electronics
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance, work in confined areas, and crouch or stand for extended periods of time while obtaining measurements.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and utilize test software and platforms, test systems, test equipment, and computer systems
Location / Hours / Environment
  • Production and manufacturing areas
  • Our 9/80 schedule provides every other Friday off.  Hours: 6 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Thursday and 6 am - 2:30 pm every other Friday. Additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations.
  • Primary location will be Lititz with occasional support in Lancaster as required
