JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for delivering against the People & Business Strategies of Home Health & Hospice (HHH) and The University of Vermont Health Network (UVMHN). The HRBP will advance organizational capability and effectiveness through demonstrated leadership and results locally in a Home, Health & Hospice model, while also contributing directly to network wide efficacy within a matrixed shared service model. S/he will be charged with aligning HR initiatives with the affiliate and network near & long-term strategic imperatives thru an assigned client group of HHH leadership and employees.
The role is integral to the success of HHH, the HR Function, Shared Service Centers of Excellence (COEs) and is a key partner in delivering against our people strategies; while partnering with our COE and Affiliate teams to deliver employee solutions.
As a member of HHH and the Human Resource Shared Services, the Human Resource Business Partner contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a high quality workforce.
This position reports to the HHH HR Director.
EDUCATION:
* Associate Degree in business or other appropriate discipline or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
* Bachelor's Degree preferred.
* Certification is preferred, SHRM-CP or PHR
EXPERIENCE:
* Two + years of relevant Human Resource and/or administrative experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
* Basic understanding of employment laws
* Familiarity with a variety of human resource management functions, with previous personnel or payroll experience preferred
* Intermediate level accounting, analytical, and writing skills
* Relevant experience working with moderately complex filling and record systems, HRIS experience preferred
* Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of organization's personnel, job applicants and others outside the organization, frequently regarding sensitive and confidential personnel matters
