Performs, calculates, reviews and reports laboratory diagnostic tests. Basic laboratory skills, maintenance, QC, and troubleshooting abilities. Understands the clinical significance of the testing performed. Responsibilities for teaching, training, correction of procedural/instrument issues increase through the range of MLS I to MLS III. (See Accountabilities.)

EDUCATION:

Bachelor Degree in biological science or chemistry and Medical Laboratory Scientist certification.

Sign-on Bonus:

External candidates are eligible for up to a $3,000 sign-on bonus for new grads, up to $5,000 for individuals with more than three years of experience. Current employees of the UVM Medical Center and its affiliates are not eligible for this bonus. Additional terms and conditions apply.
