General Purpose:

Lead and perform operations including but not limited to product load out, Product receiving, master sanitation (wash vehicles), and overall work place, food safety.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • request appropriate empty trailer that will be needed for outgoing loads following the loading schedule load with appropriate amount of product
  • request appropriate loaded trailer that will be needed for receiving
  • Perform critical tracking and BOL input
  • CIP of trailer and lines as well as manual cleaning of equipment.
  • request trailer movement according to prioritization to optimize plant efficiencies and production needs.
  • Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement log to ensure accurate disposition and tracking.
  • Brings in milk and other dairy based products and unloads to storage vessels then wash inside of the trailers via a CIP (clean in place) system.
  • Perform and lead duties required to assure that assigned area is sanitary and clean.
  • Follow steps to insure proper operation and perform periodic preventive maintenance including pre and post operation inspections of equipment in the area.
  • Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive.
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
  • Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity.
  • Attend required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF).

Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

    Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Must have good work history. Training will be provided.
  • Forklift training -- safe operation
