What you will do

Our continued success and growth have produced a need for a Fire Service Sales Representative. The primary function of this position is to promote and sell Preventive Maintenance Agreements for commercial building systems products including fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, sound, communication, and inspections. By determining customer needs and developing sales strategies to meet those objectives. Developing positive ongoing relationships with customers.

How you will do it

  • As a Sales Representative you will establish contact with prospect and qualify potential buyers of service contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up of leads and utilizing outlined marketing strategies.
  • Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company service offerings.
  • Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog. Closing sufficient sales that will support achieving the designed sales plan objectives.
  • Support the service department to generate leads for service or equipment/device upgrades.
  • Conduct building surveys to support the development of estimates.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all sales related activities.
  • Submit all required sales reports, expenses, competitive activity, and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Develop a positive ongoing relationship with customers to ensure that Johnson Controls is meeting their requirements to ensure long-term customer loyalty.

What we look for

Required

  • One to three years of sales experience in a related business with a proven successful record of accomplishment that is verifiable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to persuade and close sales.
  • Abilityto handle a variety of situations encountered during sales process and disciplined to work with limited supervision.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Available for local travel
  • Where legally permissible, if hired, candidate is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 no later than his/her start date, unless candidate has a valid medical condition or sincerely held religious belief precluding, he/she from receiving the vaccine.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
